Individual
Counselling

Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your issues and concerns.  I will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.

I will not give you my opinions or advice.  I will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.

You will have regular sessions which each last one hour.  How often we see each other and how many sessions you have will depend on your individual circumstances.  This will be discussed throughout the course of your sessions.

You will get the best results from your counselling if you are open and honest and say how you are really feeling.  Our relationship is very important. I want us to work effectively together so you feel safe and able to take risks by disclosing and discussing sensitive issues. That includes being able to give me honest feedback on how you feel about your therapy and how we are working together.

By the end of your sessions, you will notice an improvement in your emotional wellbeing.  You may come away with a better understanding of yourself or others, different perspectives, coping strategies to name a few benefits.

Individual counselling will be delivered on the telephone, on Microsoft Teams or in person at my counselling room in Heaton Moor.
